the year of the phoenix

December 1, 2011

So we are officially into the holiday season.  Again.  It's that special time of year when everything is on sale and fights break out randomly and for no reason.  Oh yeah...and joy and family and all that other stuff too.  Anyway, we hope that everybody is preparing for all of the good and bad aspects that this time of year brings.  Our job is providing a soundtrack to help you deal and not kill anyone.  (This might be a great time to mention that our new album makes one hell of a good stocking stuffer!!)

So, all that being said, we have some great shows planned for this month...including our triumphant return to Long Island.  Oh, Long Island...it's been a while, a good majority of us have missed you, and we're glad to be coming back.  In addition to our first Long Island shows in over a year, we are throwing another CD Release party this month.  No, we didn't release another CD...our last release party got marred by certain crazy and unbelievable events.  (Trust us, it's a long story. Better answered in a bar-like environment.)  What's important is that the end resulted in lots of people coming out to support us and then ending up not being able to see our set.  Total major bummer.  So we're throwing another party to make it up to all of the people that came out last time and left empty-handed...and since it will be our last show of 2011 (a benchmark year for us) we hope that you'll come down too and help us close it out properly.

Also, we've had some great coverage in the past month from radio stations and publications alike.  Check out these articles and podcasts from our new good friends at Metal DeliriumBullspike RadioUltimate Underground and Top Rock Radio.

Not to mention our new and completely badass listing in the Encyclopaedia Metallum: The Metal Archives.  \m/\m/

We've attached a picture here of our recent Spinal Tap/Halloween show, because if there's any picture for us to use as a Christmas card this year, this is the one!  More are available to view in this site's photo section.
Thanks to all of you for your unending support this past year.  From our new album, to our first music video, to many great shows and interviews, to countless new friends and acquaintances, it's been a truly beautiful year.  We hope to make 2012 even bigger and better, despite what cryptic ancient predictions might say!  So Happy Holidays, everybody...we'll see you very soon.
